Gates Scholarship
Amount: Full ride scholarship
An ideal candidate will have:
- A high school senior from at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American
- A US citizen, national, or permanent resident
- In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
- An outstanding academic record in high school (in the top 10% of his/her graduating class)
- Demonstrated leadership ability (e.g., as shown through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities)
- Exceptional personal success skills (e.g., emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance, etc.)
Heisman High School Scholarship
Amount: $1,000-$10,000
Criteria: An ideal candidate will be eligible if they maintain a weighted GPA of 3.0 or better. Applicants need to be proven leaders and role models in their school and community and play at least one sport.

Friends of the CA. State Fair Scholarship
Amount: Various Amounts
Criteria: The Friends of the California State Fair offers 14 categories of scholarships with varying eligibility requirements. Applicants may apply for one scholarship category of their choice per year. Applicants must meet all of the criteria for a specific scholarship to be an eligible candidate. Applicants must plan to enroll for both the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters. Students graduating after the fall of 2019 are not eligible to apply, as this scholarship is intended for the full academic year. The scholarship categories and requirements are listed on the next application page.
