Welcome to the Granite Hills Wrestling page East Sequoia League Champions three years in a row!
Second straight year the team was undefeated in ESL Competition!!
Lady Grizzlies:
Our girls team was #4 in CIF out of 35 teams.
Brittany Wynn qualified for state for the second straight year.
Our four best girls are just sophomores so, the future is looking bright. :) 
 
Boys Team: 
Senior captain Rueben Arreola 152 lbs. capped off his year becoming a 2X league champion, recording a school record 110 career victories with his final win coming at the state championships at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield. 
 
Senior captain Daniel Metz had outstanding junior and senior seasons. Daniel was a 2X league champion and 2X Visalia Times Delta Tulare County 1st team selection at 195 lbs. He made it all the way to the state championships this year.
 
Junior Jesse Bracamontes won his first league title this year at 182 lbs., was a CIF Sequoia Division Runner-Up, Visalia Times Delta Tulare County 1st team selection  and state qualifier.  
 
Junior Andy Alvarez won his 3rd consecutive league championship and was named the pound for pound best wrestler in the East Seqouia League. Andy won this year's championship at 132 lbs., but unfortunately an injury cut his season short. 
 
Junior Alexe De La Pena won his first league championship at 120 lbs. this year and was named most outstanding lower weight for the entire league.  
 
Senior Jose Larumbe became a 2X league champion this year  at 145 lbs. and Junior Ezequiel Villeda won his first league championship at 106 lbs. 
 
The team went undefeated for the second straight year in ESL competition and returns many starters.  For the first time ever we had a wrestler qualify in all 14 weight classes for CIF. The qualifiers not already mentioned were 113 lbs. David Millan #2 in league, Ricky Torres 126 lbs. #3 in league, Jasper Berumen 138 lbs. #4 in league, Francisco Gonzalez 160 lbs. #2 in league, Brian Ramos 170 lbs. #2 in league, Oscar Mata 220 lbs. #3 in league, and heavyweight Fernando Tapia #2 in league.
